Powhatan "Bridging the Gap" Luncheon

On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, ARGS Advanced Engineering students organized and attended a "Bridging the Gap" luncheon during which ten laptops the students refurbished were donated to Powhatan Elementary School for use in their Intervention Room!

Virginia STAR provided the laptops and the students did the work (with some help from Mr. Swartz!)!

It was a wonderful event and we look forward to many more in the future!

Tech Expo 2015!!

Thank you to everyone who participated and attended this year's Tech Expo!  We had some amazing projects!  From quantum levitation to hydroponics to electric paint to a bridge competition, this year's Tech Expo was fun, interactive, and educational!

A special "Thank you!" to A.R.T. for showcasing their fantastic robots and the technology they used to make them!  A big "Thank you!" to the Industrial Design class for sharing their fully functional, made-from-scratch arcade cabinet!

Finally, two special thanks to Airgas for providing us with liquid nitrogen for the quantum levitation project and to the American Society of Civil Engineers for use of their bridge-testing equipment for the bridge competition!

We can't wait to see what next year will bring!!
